About this video:
Students, veterans, and Rochesterians gathered Wednesday, March 19, to protest the war in Iraq. This date marked the fifth anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. Among these protesters was Kenneth Love, a student at RIT who originally looked to the military for financial support in starting his post high school career. It didn’t take long for Love to realize that the military life was not for him, and he decided to dedicate his life to organizing change within the community. He came to Rochester and began working with other students to get his voice heard. Video by Megan Rossman

We have a saying down South
Submitted on March 21st, 2008 by Contance HallWe have a saying down South that says it’s a good sign when it rains during your funeral—it means the angels are crying for you. Your video captured the sadness that most of us feel about still being at war five years later. From the bagpipes playing Amazing Grace to the silence of the marchers, this video shows that this is a different kind of war- and war protest-and the angels are crying for us.
