Nazareth College

Founded in 1924 by the Sisters of St. Joseph, Nazareth was originally a women’s college, but in the 1970s the college officially became independent of the Sisters and became co-ed. Located outside the village of Pittsford and down East Avenue from St. John Fisher, the campus doubled in size in 2000, allowing the construction of the Golisano Academic Center and new apartment living for upperclassmen. Roberts Wesleyan College

Roberts Wesleyan is a Christian liberal arts college in north Chili that emphasizes spirituality and service. Benjamin Titus Roberts founded Roberts Wesleyan in 1866 to prepare well-educated young people to become servant leaders of high character. Over the years, the college has changed faces and names. It began as the Chili Seminary in 1866, changed in 1885 to A.M. Chesbrough Seminary, and later in 1952 became Roberts Wesleyan. More...

Rochester Institute of Technology

RIT was founded in 1829 as the Rochester Athenaeum, which created a tradition of public lectures, book reviews and debates. The institution later merged its periodicals with the existing Mechanics Literary Association to create the Rochester Athenaeum and Mechanics Institute. In 1944, the institute changed its name to Rochester Institute of Technology. St. John Fisher College is a liberal arts school situated in the eastern suburb of Pittsford. Established in 1948 as an all-male college, Fisher officially admitted women in September of 1971. The College at Brockport, State University New York

Located in the canal town of Brockport, 16 miles west of Rochester, Brockport has been part of the SUNY system since its establishment in1948. However, the college itself was actually founded in 1835 as the Brockport Collegiate Institute to train teachers to work in New York state schools.
