For many, Sparknotes.com and Pinkmonkey.com can be a blessing and a curse. While the sites offer summarized versions of extremely long books, what the student ends up with is a paltry tasting of what otherwise would’ve been a really interesting read. When some students at Nazareth College decided that they wanted to learn more about politics and current events, they started a new club called Students for Political Action and Awareness. In the short time since its creation, SPAA has attracted a variety of students who meet to discuss and debate the issues they find most interesting. As graduation approaches quickly, St. John Fisher College’s Career Center held one last event to help graduating seniors. The Career Center works with students to help them with their professional careers after Fisher, they want students to stand out at a job interview and in their chosen career. Betsy McDermott who’s in charge of the career center was also in charge of this last event, an etiquette dinner. Held on April 1 in the Wilson Formal at Fisher, the dinner was catered by the schools dining service. More...
